Community Events for Veterans & Families

We believe in the healing power of connection. Our events are designed to ease burdens, create joy, and build lasting bonds among veterans, their families, and the wider community.

Connection Through Community

At The L.J. Bridge Foundation, we believe in the healing power of connection. That's why we host meaningful events throughout the year designed to ease burdens, create joy, and build lasting bonds among veterans, their families, and the wider community. From holiday celebrations and family outings to resource-driven gatherings, each event is rooted in our mission to honor service, foster resilience, and ensure that no veteran walks their journey alone. These events are not only opportunities to come together but also spaces where practical needs can be met -- whether through meals, care packages, or access to resources. At the same time, they serve as powerful reminders to veterans and their families that they are supported, valued, and remembered throughout every season of the year.

What to Expect

Our events are designed to meet both practical and emotional needs -- because community is as important as assistance.

Holiday Celebrations

Seasonal gatherings that bring warmth and joy to veteran families during holidays when isolation can feel most acute.

Family Outings

Activities designed for the whole family -- building memories, strengthening bonds, and reminding families they are not alone.

Resource-Driven Gatherings

Events where practical needs are met through meals, care packages, and access to support resources and services.

Who Can Participate

  • U.S. Veterans of any branch of service (active duty, retired, or honorably discharged)
  • Immediate family members of veterans, including spouses, partners, and children
  • In some cases, Gold Star families may also be eligible for participation

Registration & Proof of Eligibility

  • Veterans provide one form of documentation: DD-214, VA Identification Card, Military ID, or veteran designation on state ID
  • Families may be asked to register in advance to help us plan appropriately
  • Some events may have limited capacity; registration is confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis
  • For family-inclusive events, we encourage veterans to bring their children and loved ones

How You Can Help

By establishing clear eligibility, we ensure that our events directly serve the veteran community while also maintaining fairness and transparency. These guidelines help us direct our resources where they are needed most and allow sponsors to know their contributions are making a genuine impact. When you sponsor an event, you aren't just funding a gathering -- you're creating memories, meeting real needs, and building a community of care that lasts long after the event ends.
